Corona Virus Update 31 March 2020

COVID-19

We are continuing with normal services for all urgent cases, but we need your help.

  • PLEASE ring us before attending at the clinic
  • Please advise us if you are in quarantine, self-isolation or if you you have been in contact with at risk people or overseas, so we can work out a plan to help you safely
  • If you need medication or other supplies please ring us first so we can have it ready for you or if needed we can arrange to post, deliver or make a non-contact pickup.
  • URGENT cases include significant illnesses and injuries and patients in distress or requiring urgent surgery. Initial immunisation courses for young animals are also a priority for us.
  • Non-urgent cases that we will defer to a waiting list include regular nail trims with no immediate problems, uncomplicated desexing, annual or routine health checks
  • In some cases we will ask you to consult with the vet via telephone or audio-visual link before deciding to make a face to face appointment. For some problems a remote consultation may be sufficient to allow us to give you necessary advice and in some cases provide prescription medications, especially for long-standing conditions where we are very familiar with the patient and its history.
  • IF you are asked to attend the surgery
    • ADVISE US IF YOU ARE IN ANY HIGH RISK CATEGORY
    • please have only ONE person with the patient
    • call us to let us know when you've arrived and we'll call you in when we're ready, to minimise numbers in reception
    • use hand sanitiser provided as you enter
    • maintain 1.5m spacing from staff and others
    • minimise touching merchandise and surfaces
    • sanitise hands as you move through the clinic, touch items, sneeze or cough etc and as you leave

Thank you for your co-operation which will help us:

  • continue to be here for you and your animals
  • keep you and our staff healthy
  • work with the community to beat the virus and get us all past this epidemic as soon as possible

With our best wishes and efforts to help you and you animals,

Greg, Jess, Heidi, Emma, & James.

with our nursing staff: Sally, Shelley, Sue, Deanna, Helen, Montana & Marj.
