Corona Virus Update 25 March 2020

We hope you are all OK and coping in these difficult times. We are focussed on providing ongoing care for our patients, our clients and our staff. We hope you will understand and help us as we vary normal ways of working during these difficult times.

In order to minimise exposures for clients and staff and to support community efforts to slow the spread of the Corona Virus, at this stage we are rescheduling routine non-urgent matters and keeping waiting lists for elective visits that can be delayed without undue risk including booster vaccinations, desexing surgery and similar treatments. As soon as possible we will contact those on these waiting lists to arrange rescheduled surgeries and appointments.

Meantime we are doing our best to provide service for emergencies and urgent cases. In some cases, we may need to use phone consultations or telemedicine. In other cases, we will need to have a clinic appointment subject to strict hygiene requirements. Urgent surgeries can still be carried out.

Wherever possible please phone with enquiries and to request food or medications to avoid waiting in reception more than necessary. We will try to take items out to your car, and we can accept over the phone or internet payments.

- If you are required to self-isolate or have at risk symptoms or exposure history, please phone rather than coming in to the clinic so we can work out how to help you.
- consider purchasing pet food, wormers and other merchandise from our online store www.vetslovepets.com.au for home delivery (free delivery for orders over $49 - log in, create an account and select us as your vet, then order.)
- where possible call us from your car when you arrive so we can minimise the number of people in the waiting room at one time
- non-urgent matters like vaccination boosters for adult dogs and elective surgeries may be delayed until things are safer.
- if you are in reception you will notice we have restricted entry to our staff areas and have closed our rear entry. We ask the you stand behind the line to maintain a safer distance from staff and avoid touching the reception desk
- we have hand sanitiser for you to use on arrival and departure and we have increased cleaning and sanitising of floors, doors & handles and other touch areas.

- We now have the option for self check in and recording of patient weights as you arrive which you may choose to use - please sanitise hands before and after use of the tablet (i-Pad).

If you have any concerns or queries, please phone us during office hours. We will be here for you and do our best for you as long as we are capable and allowed to do so.

With great care and concern,

Greg McIntyre & the team

Jess, Heidi, Emma, James, Sally Deanna, Sue, Shelley, Helen, Vicki, Montana, Marj

PS Some of our team will be missing from the clinic at times due to their own or families’ health risks and needs. We are doing everything we can to keep them and the whole team together and safe for when we get past this.
